Meet Our Founder

Lydia E. Ortiz, M.A., BCBA, is the founder of The Village Support System Services, LLC. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Lydia brings experience in education, leadership, administration, and behavior analysis to her work with children, families, and future behavior professionals. She earned bachelor’s degrees in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Arts in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University.

After relocating to Orlando in 2010, Lydia worked as a teacher and school administrator before beginning her career in Applied Behavior Analysis as a Registered Behavior Technician in 2018. Her work with children on the autism spectrum revealed both the power of individualized support and the challenges faced by families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. This experience inspired Lydia to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and expand her ability to serve families and professionals.

Lydia founded The Village to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and culturally responsive services in both English and Spanish. Through The Village Behavioral and The Village Educational Institute, she provides ABA services, caregiver guidance, professional supervision, and training. Her vision is to create an inclusive community where every child, family, and future behavior professional feels understood, supported, and equipped to thrive.
